Consulting Analyst
IWSR, now part of WGSN, is a leading trends forecaster for the beverage alcohol industry. The Consulting Analyst will support high-impact consulting engagements through data analysis and insight development, working closely with Consulting Managers and Directors to inform client decision-making.

Responsibilities
Support the execution of consulting projects from start to finish, including data analysis, modelling, and insight development
Conduct detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis using IWSR datasets, forecasts, and market intelligence
Build clear, structured analyses that translate data into insights, implications, and recommendations
Develop charts, tables, and slides that communicate insights in a compelling, client-ready format
Support scenario analysis, market sizing, trend impact assessments, and innovation related frameworks
Analyze US-specific data, including state- and metro-level trends, channel dynamics, and category performance
Support cross-market analyses that compare trends, performance, and opportunities across multiple countries
Contribute to client-facing materials used in senior-level presentations and discussions
Develop a strong understanding of client businesses, objectives, and strategic priorities to ensure analyses and recommendations are relevant and impactful
Prepare thoroughly in advance of client meetings and presentations, including reviewing objectives, materials, and key discussion points
Prepare for and participate in client calls, workshops, and presentations (with increased exposure at Senior Analyst level)
Support Consulting Managers and Directors in responding to client questions and follow-ups
Ensure all outputs are accurate, polished, and aligned to project objectives
Work closely with Consulting, Research, Sales, Product, and WGSN teams to ensure consistency and accuracy across deliverables
Collaborate effectively across functions to support smooth project delivery and alignment on objectives
Support proposal development, scoping exercises, and internal project planning (Senior Analyst level)
Help document methodologies, tools, and best practices to improve consulting delivery efficiency
Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and capability building across the consulting team
Stay up to date on new technologies and AI-enabled tools to support efficient, cost effective ways of working
Maintain awareness of project costs and commercial considerations to help ensure margin targets are met
Focuses primarily on analytical execution and project support
Builds foundational consulting, storytelling, and client communication skills
Gains exposure to a range of project types, categories, and markets
Takes increasing ownership of analyses and defined workstreams, with limited oversight
Contributes directly to client-facing materials and participates in client discussions and presentations
Supports project structuring, scenario analysis, and innovation-related frameworks
Collaborates closely with Consulting Managers and Directors and helps review or guide junior analysts as needed
Builds exposure across a range of project types, categories, and markets within the Americas
Qualification
Required
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify meaningful insights
In-depth demonstrable experience and familiarity with Excel, Power Query
Excellent attention to detail and comfort working with large datasets
Ability to clearly communicate insights in written, visual, and verbal formats
Strong PowerPoint / presentation-building skills including ThinkCell
Intellectual curiosity and interest in consumer behavior, trends, and strategy
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
Bachelor's degree preferred; Master's degree or relevant professional qualifications a plus
Prior experience in consulting, analytics, strategy, or research preferred
Experience in beverage alcohol, CPG, or adjacent industries helpful but not essential
Preferred
Spanish/Portuguese language skills preferred, for supporting multi-market work through the Americas
