Responsibilities
Test, inspect, maintain, and document emergency-activated duress and security systems, including but not limited to Alertus, burglar alarms, parking lot call stations, panic alarms, and other Protective Services-managed systems
Support daily operations of physical security systems, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and management of associated records and documentation
Issue initial, replacement, and amended employee identification badges in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
Provide backup support to the primary badge technician, ensuring continuity of badge office operations, access control processes, and consistent application of system standards
Assist with the preparation, maintenance, organization, and accuracy of badge, access control, and related data in designated software systems
Follow established policies, processes, and protocols to ensure proper assignment of badge templates, access permissions, and associated payroll or workforce management data when applicable
Maintain consistent badge data, appearance standards, and system integrity as established by leadership
Identify, document, and promptly report system issues, data variances, or potential risks to appropriate leadership or management
Balance daily operational responsibilities while contributing to special projects and initiatives as assigned
Perform all duties in a timely manner to meet interdepartmental service expectations and customer service goals
Demonstrate Novant Health’s standards of performance, including ownership, teamwork, communication, and compassion, supporting patient satisfaction, strong interdepartmental relationships, and service excellence
Qualification
Required
High School or GED
Preferred
2 Year / Associate Degree
Working in healthcare and end-user in identification, emergency activated duress systems and access control software/hardware
