Researcher in Evolutionary Biology and Bioinformatics
The University of Copenhagen is seeking a highly motivated bioinformatician for a 24-month researcher fellowship in the Evolutionary and Conservation Genomics Group. The role involves analyzing genomic datasets to investigate population responses to environmental changes and contributing to research at the intersection of conservation genomics and gene-editing technologies.
Research
Responsibilities
Lead computational, statistical, and simulation‑based analyses of large temporal genomic datasets generated throughout experimental evolution approaches
Close collaboration with experimental lab technicians will be essential to coordinate sampling schemes, align modelling assumptions, and integrate computational findings with empirical results
Enjoy conceptual problem‑solving, bridging empirical and computational work, and contributing at the emerging interface between conservation genomics and gene‑editing technologies
