Responsibilities

Demonstrates strong knowledge of quality standards, corrective action systems (8D / MCAR), and core quality tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, and Histograms

Identifies technical quality issues with suppliers and drives corrective and preventive actions, ensuring structural quality and process improvements

Manages supplier performance, including quality audits, regulatory compliance, and supplier quality ranking systems

Serves as the primary liaison between suppliers, distribution centers, and manufacturing sites

Monitors and evaluates supplier quality and delivery performance, providing feedback and managing process controls

Possesses a strong technical foundation in complex products or systems, supporting product transitions while improving quality and reliability

Handles and prioritizes critical customer complaints related to delivered products

Supports quality improvement projects at internal and external sites

Demonstrates strong problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills across cross-functional and cross-cultural teams

Familiar with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies; Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred

Proficient with tools such as Workspace, Minitab, and SAP; maintains accurate quality records, certifications, and metrics

Comfortable working 100% onsite in office, EMS factory, or distribution center environments, and operating independently after a short training period

Required

On-site Quality Engineer based in or able to commute daily to Richardson, TX, with flexibility to travel internationally (Mexico) up to 10% as business needs require

Comfortable supporting Video EMS supplier sites in Mexico for short-term assignments (typically 1 week, 1-2 trips per year)

Holds a Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field (Master's preferred) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality or Supply Chain Quality roles, supporting manufacturing, EMS, or distribution center environments
