Responsibilities
Assist attorneys with all stages of personal injury and workers’ compensation claims
Manage case files, maintain accurate documentation, and track deadlines
Conduct client intakes, gather initial case facts, and prepare case summaries
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, medical providers, and insurance adjusters
Provide regular case updates and ensure a positive client experience
Obtain and organize medical records, bills, wage information, and related documentation
Draft and prepare legal documents such as demand packages, discovery responses, subpoenas, and correspondence
Prepare workers’ compensation forms, filings, and supporting evidence for hearings
Assist in drafting settlement documents and closing files
Coordinate medical evaluations, depositions, and attorney meetings
Assist in trial preparation, hearing materials, and exhibit organization
Review insurance policies, benefits information, and case-related financials
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience as a paralegal in Personal Injury and/or Workers' Compensation law
Strong understanding of PI case workflows, medical terminology, and insurance processes
Familiarity with South Carolina Workers' Compensation Commission procedures
Proficiency with legal case management software
Excellent communication, time management, and multitasking skills
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
Preferred
South Carolina experience
Paralegal certificate or associate degree
