Director/ExecutiveBeat The Odds is a next-generation fantasy sports and player-props platform focused on modernizing fan engagement. The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) will lead all regulatory, legal, and compliance strategy, ensuring the platform aligns with DFS, gaming, and state regulations while working closely with the founders to shape compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities
Lead compliance strategy across DFS, fantasy sports, and player-prop regulations
Monitor and interpret state-by-state gaming and DFS laws
Advise leadership on regulatory risk, product design, and go-to-market decisions
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulators, legal counsel, and compliance partners
Ensure product features, game mechanics, payouts, and P2P structures comply with applicable laws
Review marketing, promotions, and partnerships for compliance risk
Help define compliant paths for future expansion (new states, formats, B2B partnerships)
Establish internal compliance policies, procedures, and controls
Build responsible gaming, AML (if applicable), KYC, and consumer protection frameworks
Assist in drafting terms of service, privacy policies, and user agreements (with counsel)
Partner closely with the CEO and founders on long-term regulatory strategy
Support investor diligence by clearly articulating BTO’s compliance posture
Help position Beat The Odds as a compliance-first operator in a highly regulated space
Qualification
Required
Background in gaming, DFS, sports betting, fintech, or regulated technology
Deep understanding of U.S. DFS and fantasy sports regulations
Experience working with or alongside regulators and external legal counsel
Comfortable operating in a pre-revenue, fast-moving startup
Strategic thinker who is also willing to execute day-to-day compliance work
Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
