Responsibilities

Coordinate crusher operations employee training and special projects
Liaise with PAI on updating training materials for the Limerick Crushing System to reflect changes from design to actual practices
Identify, develop, and or modify S.O.P.’s for the Limerick Crushing System
Utilize the P-Tracker system to develop individual training plans for all employees, including Supervisors
Develop a training framework and individual training plans for all crusher operations areas, not limited to, but including MSHA required ART, safety procedures, site specific training, equipment training, vendor training, operations supervisor training, environmental, etc
Utilize individual training plans in conjunction with the department’s Tech Progression criteria to coach and train the individual Supervisor and Operators; develop employees for what is necessary for professional development
Optimize and deliver new hire training and induction to effectively communicate role expectations and individual training needs in advance of field introduction
Identify bottlenecks in the system and opportunities for improvement, i.e., screen efficiency modeling and crusher/HPGR operating procedures, settings to control and minimize fines generation, and optimize top size reduction for optimal metal recovery
Support crusher operations to ensure training consistency across crews
Establish standard work practices and with the support of the Crusher Supervisors, implement standard work across operational crews
Ensure crusher employees have the necessary training, sign-off, skills, knowledge, and tools to do their jobs safely and effectively
Perform other duties as assigned
Responsible for ensuring a safe workplace while enforcing safety, environmental, and company procedures and guidelines
Lead the safe continuity and optimization of crusher operations to support the expansion & growth of the crushing activities

Required

Minimum of eight (8) years progressive experience within the mining industry with five (5) years' direct supervisory experience required
A good understanding of operations and the ability to instill good operational work practices, and training programs in their team
Passion and enthusiasm to continually improve - safety, production, and quality
A genuine interest in people and people development, someone who can authentically communicate and bring out the best in people
A strong work ethic, dedication to their teams, peers, and business objectives
Adaptable, flexible, and resilient
Excellent planning, problem solving, decision making, and organizational skills required
Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Familiarity with business software applications such as Oracle required
Demonstrated ability to perform essential function of the position
