The Transportation Service Specialist is responsible for executing daily outbound transportation activities and managing carrier-related communications for multiple manufacturing facilities, ensuring on-time and damage-free delivery of products.

Responsibilities
Perform daily outbound transportation planning and execution activities
Assign daily freight to Owens Corning’s carrier base to meet customer delivery dates in a cost-effective manner
Communicate and coordinate with carriers regarding load assignments, schedules, and delivery requirements
Collaborate with Manufacturing Facilities, Customer Service Specialists, Logistics Analysts, Material Planners, and other internal teams
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve transportation and delivery issues
Ensure customer orders are delivered on time and without damage
Create transportation solutions that align with customer needs and Owens Corning business objectives
Maintain a high level of professionalism in all internal and external communications
Qualification
Required
Fluency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Customer-focused mindset
Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
High degree of professionalism
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred
Experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations
Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and functions
