Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the proper chain of command
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of designated areas, including interior spaces and the perimeter, while monitoring for unusual activity that may help to deter unwanted behavior
Control access by verifying identification, authorizations, and vehicle credentials as required, documenting entries, and directing individuals to the appropriate points of contact
Complete timely security-related reports and logs, including patrol observations, incident documentation, and shift handoffs, using written and/or electronic systems as required

Required

Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience
Possess an armed guard card and/or armed guard license
Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance
Be at least 21 years of age
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Participate in industry-specific security training programs
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
