Senior Business Development Manager, Litigation
J. Katz & Partners, Inc is a leading U.S. law firm seeking a Senior Business Development Manager, Litigation to drive growth, client engagement, and market positioning across its Litigation platform. This role involves partnering closely with practice leadership to execute strategic initiatives and support revenue growth.
Responsibilities
Partner with Litigation leadership to develop and execute multi-year business development strategies
Identify and pursue strategic client development and cross-practice opportunities
Lead complex pitches and high-profile RFP responses
Provide business development coaching to attorneys, including pipeline management
Support lateral attorney integration with client-focused onboarding strategies
Oversee experience data, client financials, and CRM utilization to inform strategy
Collaborate on rankings submissions, thought leadership, marketing initiatives, and client events
Manage and mentor business development professionals supporting Litigation
Collaborate with senior BD leadership and internal teams (recruiting, pricing, IT, professional development)
Assist with budget planning and monitor ROI of business development initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
9+ years of business development experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment
Demonstrated experience leading strategic initiatives and managing teams
Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills
Ability to build trusted relationships with senior attorneys and practice leaders
High level of professionalism, discretion, and judgment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms
Preferred
litigation analytics experience a plus
