They are seeking a Head of Electrical Engineering to lead the design of innovative transformer units and build a high-performing engineering team to meet ambitious production targets.

Responsibilities

Redefine transformer engineering: Develop innovative designs for 30 MVA+ transformer units that set new industry standards for Substations, Transmission, and Distribution projects
Lead with precision: Oversee the technical design process, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and reliability in every unit
Integrate advanced technology: Collaborate with our tech team to incorporate AI-driven simulations, thermal modeling, and predictive analytics into transformer design
Build your design team: Recruit and lead a world-class team of engineers to execute this ambitious vision
Achieve extraordinary targets: Drive the design and validation of four massive transformers daily, meeting rigorous performance metrics
Establish design excellence: Create standards and methodologies that will be studied by electrical engineers for generations

Required

7-10+ years of experience designing 30 MVA or higher transformer units
Proven track record in Substations, Transmission, and Distribution projects
Experience at leading firms like Siemens, GE, or similar innovation-driven organizations
Hands-on experience in conceptualizing, prototyping, and refining high-capacity transformer designs
Mastery of transformer design principles - core materials, winding techniques, cooling systems, and dielectric testing
Ability to leverage simulation tools (e.g., FEM, MATLAB) with confidence
Experience guiding engineering teams through complex projects
Driven to design critical infrastructure that keeps America's lights on and its grid resilient
