Responsibilities

Supporting management in maintaining, improving, processing, and evaluating the billing and collection of accounts receivable for the Health System
Resolve complex payer issues to completion daily
Working the receivable of multiple facilities
Comprise of the receivable of multiple third-party payers
Supporting management in the overall execution of Revenue Cycle collection duties

Qualification

Hospital billing experienceAccounts receivable managementHIPAA regulationsPayer type billing practicesCommunication skills

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent
1-2 years' experience in hospital billing and/or professional accounts receivable
Demonstrate knowledge in billing and collection of at least one payer type's billing practices, with an understanding of additional insurance payer type's billing and collection practices including benefits eligibility, verification, and precertification
Requires knowledge of up-to-date HIPAA and HITECH rules and regulations
Successful completion of trainings, certifications and/or assessments as required by supervisor and/or manager
