Responsibilities
Provide engineering support required to review, assess and analyze all levels of system documentation to identify and define test requirements
Provide documentation of requirements and design specifications, test plans, procedures, test results, change proposals, and logistical training
Evaluate test coverage with respect to test type, test validity, test scenarios, test conduct, test results, and problem report content
Make recommendations for improvements in accordance with Government processes
Analyze test and evaluation data to provide an assessment of deficiencies uncovered during testing
Conduct, participate, or provide witness in tactical system ship-based and land-based test and evaluation, certification, and training events to be held at Government or Non-Government venues
Resolve Fleet identified system issues and evaluating problems reported against the deployed systems in accordance with the current system requirements as described by the Navy regional maintenance centers
Ability to define task details, estimates, and schedules for project management
Qualification
Required
Three (3) years of experience with a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in System Engineering, or seven (7) years of hands-on Combat System experience
Experience with weapon and combat systems, and/or launcher systems
Experience testing and evaluating combat system interfaces or interface controls
Familiarity with Configuration Management processes
Effective communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to work independently and with others, across multiple organizations, to meet established goals within schedule-driven timelines
Active Secret security clearance
Preferred
Knowledge of Vertical Launching Systems and design (VLS) is beneficial
