Responsibilities
Independently managing a litigation caseload involving moderate exposure and complexity
Drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, and legal memoranda
Taking or assisting with depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
Contributing strategically to case evaluation, trial planning, and litigation strategy
Communicating directly with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and claims professionals
Leveraging modern litigation technology and document management systems
Thriving in a self-directed environment while collaborating with a high-performing legal team
Qualification
Required
JD and active California Bar membership
Minimum 5+ years of solid Construction Defect experience within an Insurance Defense firm
Must have meaningful, hands-on CD litigation exposure—not just peripheral involvement
Minimum 5+ years of experience handling Personal Injury matters with Construction Defense exposure
Background must be rooted in Insurance Defense practice
Strong academic and professional credentials
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Confidence in the courtroom and in front of clients
A self-starter mentality with the judgment to manage cases efficiently
