Senior Supportive Services Coordinator
The University of Chicago is dedicated to eliminating new HIV transmission events through its Chicago Center for HIV Elimination. The Senior Supportive Services Coordinator will manage a caseload, provide resource counseling, and support the administrative team while ensuring retention in care for community members.

Responsibilities
Calls community members and conducts resource counseling, completing all related documentation and notes; and researches appropriate and individualized resources for community members, specifically resources for people of color and those who identify as LGBQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer) and TGNC (transgender and gender non-conforming)
Works with community members over the phone or in-person
Assists with day-to-day Supportive Services tasks, such as rapid response support for those who are seeking same-day treatment; and conducts assessments and safety plans for community members in distress
Provides HIV/STI treatment, education, and prevention in non-traditional settings, such as community venues
Performs phlebotomy or willing to be trained in phlebotomy
Supports evening and weekend events where Supportive Services is requested
Oversees day-to-day tasks of student workers and interns. Provides feedback on student engagement with clients
Creates, implements and modifies protocols
Performs various administrative and operational tasks under moderate supervision. Acts as a resource on the basics of clinical research and related aspects of clinical study for other clinical research staff
Uses knowledge of clinical studies to coordinate the collection of analyzable clinical research data and/or samples
Performs other related work as needed
Qualification
Required
Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field (not typically required to have a four-year degree)
Knowledge and skills developed through 5-7 years of work experience in a related job discipline

Preferred
Advanced degree in related field
Working with and/or providing care to LGBT populations, Black and Latino community members, providing HIV/STI treatment and/or prevention
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Applications, including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, and Word
Demonstrated effective leadership and teaching skills
Strong organizational skills
Strong knowledge of Chicago social service resources
Strong knowledge of program subject matter
Strong interpersonal skills and work both independently and as part of a team
