Intern - Purchasing Analyst

Responsibilities

Research, analyze, and review categories utilizing the Publix Purchasing Methodology
Conduct a Category Review
Understand customer requirements and sourcing
Research industries to understand supplier capabilities, manufacturing processes, market conditions, industry trends and key costs drivers
Analyze and develop various spreadsheets and documents
Summarize and present information in a clear and concise manner

Required

Must be an actively enrolled student not graduating prior to the start of the Summer Internship Program in May; or If graduating from a bachelor's degree program prior to the start of the internship, starting a graduate degree program in the upcoming summer or fall semester; or If graduating from a master's degree program prior to the start of the internship, starting a graduate degree program in the upcoming summer or fall semester
Must be pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in business, finance or engineering and be a current freshman or above (rising sophomore or above as of the program start in Summer 2026) or a graduate student
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong analytical skills, problem-solving and creative thinking skills
Strong mathematical skills
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and listening skills
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to be flexible
High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Must be at least 18 years old

Preferred

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
