Responsibilities

Design hardware, mechanical/structural components, and subsystems aligned with customer requirements and LM Space standard methodologies in activities related to developing, revising, and releasing engineering drawings
Design using Creo/Pro-E to develop and release engineering designs including CAD objects using EPDM processes (or equivalent)
Coordinate engineering design packages with program PMP, stress, systems engineering, checking, manufacturing, product assurance, and configuration and data management as a minimum; specify engineering approvers; change task development in EPDM would be a plus but not necessary
Implement strict CAD modeling standards; utilize 'model-check' tools and resolve design issues to meet modeling standards
Design components and subsystems using interfaces from a master CAD model
Develop, integrate component and subsystem designs as part of the single master target CAD model
Incorporate redlines, complete drawing and model changes, federate parts and materials, and coordinate changes for release in EPDM
Handle aspects of product acceptance reviews, project management, and responsible engineer (Certified Principal Engineer or equivalent) functions. Some travel may be required
