National Organizer of Field Mobilization

Right To The City Alliance (RTTC) is a national alliance focused on racial, economic, and environmental justice. The National Organizer of Field Mobilization will execute RTTC’s 2026 Homes for All Field Plan by leading volunteer recruitment and managing national voter outreach efforts to build political power for housing justice.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all outreach events, including phonebanks, textbanks, canvassing programs, and electoral deployments across states such as Massachusetts, New York, and Colorado
Recruit and support volunteers to be prepared, trained, and operating effectively during outreach events
Coordinate real-time troubleshooting during deployments, maintaining alignment with campaign goals and volunteer care
Serve as the primary point of contact between field teams, campaign leadership, and other departments to ensure smooth execution of field strategy
Recruit volunteers nationally for phonebanks, textbanks, canvassing programs, and electoral deployments
Build relationships with local member organizations to engage and mobilize their networks
Maintain organized volunteer contact lists and track recruitment progress against campaign goals
Develop and implement strategies to maintain volunteer engagement throughout the 2026 campaign cycle
Lead volunteer debriefs and feedback sessions to improve experiences and inform future campaign planning
Work closely with the Senior Organizer of Data Strategy to provide feedback on turf, voter/tenant outreach lists, and phonebank/textbank performance
Ensure volunteers can access and use campaign data tools effectively for field events
Track field engagement metrics and report insights to improve volunteer deployment and campaign outcomes
Align data strategy with short-term electoral goals and long-term tenant power building
Collaborate with logistics contractors to coordinate deployment planning, including volunteer scheduling, materials distribution, transportation, and on-site event support
Ensure all necessary supplies, equipment, and wellness resources are available and organized for field activities
Support smooth operations for national days of action and large-scale deployments

Required

4+ years experience in field organizing, volunteer management, or campaign mobilization, particularly in electoral or issue-based campaigns
4+ experience managing volunteers in phonebanks, textbanks, canvassing, or deployment-style field programs
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple events and timelines simultaneously
Comfort collaborating with data, logistics, and campaign staff to execute complex field plans
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel during peak campaign periods
Support the mission, vision, and goals of the Right To The City Alliance
Experience and familiarity with housing justice, gentrification, displacement, and anti-eviction work and/or grassroots base-building organizations and transformative organizing
Experience in multi-racial, multicultural settings
Knowledge of common computer applications: MS Office, Google Docs, Adobe Acrobat, Dropbox, Mac environment, and Zoom video teleconferencing systems
Access to reliable internet, phone, and remote office arrangements

Preferred

Experience working on multi-state or national campaigns
Experience supporting ballot initiatives or coordinated electoral campaigns
Familiarity with political data tools from a field user perspective
Experience working in member-led, base-building, or housing justice organizations with tenant unions, housing justice organizations, or base-building movements
