Supervisor Production

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations on the production floor, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality output while supporting employee development and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Directly supervise a team of hourly production employees
Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure accountability to safety, quality, and productivity standards
Provide coaching, feedback, and corrective actions as needed to build a strong, engaged workforce
Ensure production schedules and customer delivery requirements are met
Coordinate workflow to optimize labor, equipment, and material usage
Monitor takt time, cycle time, and throughput to meet efficiency targets
Enforce company safety policies and procedures
Conduct safety talks, audits, and corrective actions to maintain a safe workplace
Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO/quality standards, and regulatory requirements
Monitor work to ensure adherence to quality standards and resolve issues quickly
Partner with Quality and Engineering teams to implement process improvements
Lead problem-solving initiatives (root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions)
Support onboarding and training of new employees
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning
Participate in performance reviews and recommend promotions or disciplinary actions
Communicate production priorities, goals, and updates to the team
Track and report on production metrics including output, scrap, downtime, and attendance
Collaborate with other supervisors, leads, and management to align on production goals
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership role
Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
Ability to read and interpret production schedules, work orders, and technical documents
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods on the production floor
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
Work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise, and exposure to materials
Preferred
Associate or bachelor's degree
Experience in automotive or RV manufacturing is a plus
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies preferred
