Responsibilities
Designing and building log ingestion services in Go
Implementing parsers and normalizers for security-relevant logs (syslog variants, JSON, audit logs, cloud logs, etc.)
Building and maintaining connectors / forwarders that reliably ship data into large-scale pipelines
Handling real-world ingestion challenges: backpressure, retries, buffering, malformed events, schema drift
Operating production systems that process millions+ of events per second
Qualification
Required
5+ years of backend software engineering experience
Deep experience with Go (Rust a plus)
Hands-on work building log shippers, collectors, or ingestion pipelines
Experience parsing and processing logs/events at scale
Familiarity with syslog, journald, file-based logs, Kubernetes logs, or audit logs
Comfort working in distributed, production systems
Preferred
Experience with security telemetry, SIEM pipelines, or SOC tooling
Kubernetes-native services or operators
Message queues / streaming systems (Kafka, etc.)
Prior work on logging, monitoring, or observability platforms
