Project Engineer
Alpha Inc. is a locally owned company dedicated to building Hawaii's future through excellence in heavy civil construction and water well drilling. As a Project Engineer in the Drilling Division, you will support project planning and execution, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety protocols while collaborating with various teams to deliver high-quality projects.

Responsibilities
Supporting project planning, scheduling, and engineering execution from start to finish
Preparing and maintaining project documentation, technical specs, progress reports, and as-built drawings
Working with drillers, superintendents, and field crews to solve problems and align on project goals
Assisting with project budgeting, cost tracking, and financial forecasting
Ensuring compliance with design standards, industry regulations, and safety protocols
Conducting quality assurance checks and collaborating on risk assessments with the safety team
Managing scope changes and supporting client communication with clear technical updates
Participating in project review meetings and helping identify lessons learned for continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
1–2 years of experience in project engineering, construction management, or a related role—preferably in drilling or heavy civil construction
Strong understanding of project workflows, documentation, and cost tracking
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and preferably Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat
A knack for collaboration, communication, and problem-solving under pressure

Completion of standard pre-employment screening
A background check conducted after a conditional offer; past issues will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis in line with Hawai‘i and federal law
