Responsibilities
Performs basic computations or analysis
Assists with preparation of regulatory submissions
Conducts regulatory & legislative research and analyzes regulations
Prepares letters, reports, and literature pertaining to technical and regulatory issues
Supports customer and sales team inquiries
Interfaces with regulatory agencies to gain product approvals
Conducts research for new product design
Participates in launching new products
Develops relationships with industry stakeholders
Conducts basic legislative research on bills and laws
Executes assigned tasks under the direction of more senior staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, collaborates with team members to solve technical problems, seeks guidance on complex issues, develops an understanding of workplace culture
Attain professional credentials: EIT, PE, PG, RS

Required
Combination of technical and scientific knowledge
Written and verbal communication skills
Ability to understand regulatory requirements
Interpersonal skills and relationship building
Entry level to 5+ years of experience in an engineering, environmental, or technical field (consulting engineering industry experience a plus)
Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or environmental engineering or Bachelor's degree in soil and/or environmental science or related field, with advanced degree a plus
Professional engineer, engineer-in-training, registered sanitarian, or registered environmental health specialist, or other relevant credentials
Involvement with wastewater treatment systems, particularly onsite and/or decentralized systems
Excellent verbal communication in both individual and group settings
Excellent technical writing skills with proficiency developing well-written, well-organized documents
Independent problem solving and ability to quickly distill written information
Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a changing, dynamic office environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to travel 10% of the time
Preferred
Consulting engineering industry experience a plus
Advanced degree a plus
