Responsibilities
Design, develop, and refine mechanical components and assemblies for R&D and production
Perform environmental qualification testing (vibration, shock, temperature, humidity) per MIL-STD-810 standards
Collaborate with external partners and testing labs (JECETS or equivalent) to validate system performance
Develop CAD models, technical drawings, and manufacturing documentation
Interface with electrical and firmware engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical and electronic systems
Support build activities, including prototype assembly, fixture design, and supplier coordination
Contribute to risk analysis, DFMEA documentation, and design reviews
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience designing and testing electromechanical or medical systems
Demonstrated knowledge of MIL-STD-810 environmental test methods and qualification procedures
Experience working with JECETS or similar test frameworks
Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
Familiarity with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and manufacturing processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; hands-on prototyping experience required
Experience with ISO 13485, DoD, or FDA-regulated environments is a plus
Preferred
Exposure to medical device lifecycle documentation (DHF, DMR, etc.)
Experience with 3D printing, DFM/DFA, or rapid prototyping methods
Knowledge of thermal and structural simulation tools (e.g., Ansys)
