Responsibilities
Translate product requirements into actionable technical designs and implementation plans
Partner with a product manager to build and execute roadmap-aligned delivery plans
Develop, maintain, and deploy core services that support the overall architecture
Analyze complex technical challenges and propose scalable, efficient solutions
Own automation, testing, and deployment for your team’s work
Review code and technical designs to maintain a high engineering standard
Mentor engineers and support their growth and technical development
Oversee the day-to-day engineering workflow for a team of developers
Own technical decision-making and serve as the first point of escalation for your product surface area
Collaborate with data scientists to scale analytics on world-scale datasets and build APIs that enhance product value
Qualification
Required
BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience
5+ years of experience building backend or data-driven software in production environments
Experience deploying production code and services to cloud environments
Proven ability to deliver iterative releases from proof-of-concept to production
A self-starter comfortable navigating ambiguity and large problem spaces
Deep care for engineering excellence, clean code, and knowledge sharing
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated experience leading engineers or technical initiatives
Preferred
Python-based machine learning or data tooling (NumPy, Pandas, Dedupe)
Containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
