Small Business Relationship Manager - Syracuse Market

Responsibilities

Actively participate in outside sales calls, listening to prospective members to uncover needs and recommend the right products and services
Build strong relationships in the community by cross‑selling, networking, and promoting AmeriCU’s full suite of offerings
Attend Financial Center meetings to deliver business services updates, lead training, and provide coaching that enhances sales and service outcomes
Conduct joint calls to strengthen consultative selling skills across the team
Request, review, and evaluate information from business borrowers to help initiate underwriting processes
Maintain ongoing relationships with current business members to identify additional cross‑sell opportunities and generate new business
Participate in internal training sessions and external events to develop Centers of Influence (COI) and referral pipelines
Offer guidance to teammates on strategies and tactics that support AmeriCU’s business development goals
Proactively develop business relationships by facilitating new deposit accounts, cash management solutions, merchant services, insurance, wealth management, and other financial services
Demonstrate deep knowledge of SBA SOP guidelines and various SBA programs

Required

Experience in outside sales and relationship management
Strong knowledge of credit union products and services
Ability to build and maintain relationships with members and community partners

Ability to work collaboratively with team members and provide coaching
Strong organizational and time management skills
