Responsibilities
Answers phone and enters phone notes
Opens and distributes incoming mail and faxes
Update all demographic information at check-in
Scan test results into electronic medical record
Schedules patient appointments in IDX
Collect co-payments and outstanding balances
Coordinate referral process
Prepares mailings identified by manager or physician
Responsible for "end of day" duties to include appointment reconciliation and cash accounting
Qualification
Required
Read, write, and follow verbal instructions
Ability to operate various office machines including a Personal Computer, fax, copier, etc
Customer Service oriented
CPR Certification required (class will be provided)
LMH is accredited by DNV and TJC, and as such, may require specific annual education related to specialty certifications and standards
Preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology
Basic insurance knowledge
