Field Sales Consultant (Contractual)

The City of Fort Collins is expanding its City-owned broadband service, Connexion, and is seeking a Field Sales Consultant. In this role, you will promote and sell Connexion products and services, utilizing your sales expertise to identify new opportunities and achieve sales goals.

Responsibilities

Participates in continuous training and continuous engagement of supporting groups to stay up-to-date on product enhancements and features
Demonstrates a consistent record of sales success and goal achievement
Independently establishes and organizes daily sales activities. Implements effective sales closing techniques to ensure product installation goal is achieved
Meets and exceeds sales goals as established by Connexion’s forecasted growth models
Strategizes and executes assigned plan without assistance, operates independently
Implements pre-marketing/selling tactics in newly serviceable areas, working with network, marketing and sales teams to create early awareness of service availability
Effectively communicates and develops rapport with customers and key stakeholders. Evaluates individual customers' potential product needs and makes recommendations. Presents Connexion products and pricing as well as competitive advantages over other service providers. Evaluates and stays well-informed of competitive offers and frames response to show the value and benefits of Fort Collins Connexion
Prospecting new customers within assigned plan. Displays thorough and recent competitive knowledge of features, benefits, product differences, and pricing for Connexion’s residential internet, phone, video, and my bundle offerings
Demonstrates an advanced knowledge of Connexion products, promoting and selling offerings to prospective customers within our residential footprint and MDUs

Required

Sales Experience required
Driver's license
Must meet the physical requirements of the job including, but not limited to, the ability to walk and/or travel door-to-door for considerable distances in all types of weather conditions
Illustrates strong technical capability (computer knowledge, billing systems, sales tracking databases)
Possesses effective communication, organizational and people skills, as well as strong customer service skills
Ability to travel within Fort Collins and operate effectively in field
Develops strong working relationships with property owners of multi dwelling unit companies and leverages their support for onsite programs and events
Displays competent time management and organizational skills
Demonstrates confidence in selling ability
