Senior Data Scientist

Responsibilities
Investigate the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to biosignal-based detection/classification/prediction technologies and products
Collaborate with teams to create data-driven solutions
Design and implement algorithms to analyze complex datasets, and work with engineers to test and validate models
Provide expertise and partnership for cross-functional workstreams (e.g., Regulatory submissions and Marketing/Training)
Plan and execute laboratory, software simulations, preclinical or clinical research to prove feasibility of concepts
Maintain substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories and contribute to scientific literature and conferences
Participate in intellectual property evaluations and development of patent applications
May coordinate interdepartmental activities and R&D efforts
Write and submit professional articles for technical and scientific journals
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in science, mathematics, engineering or a related discipline plus 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Proficiency in Python and/or other data science programming languages and platforms
Team player with good communication skills – written, verbal, and interpersonal
Experience with data science techniques (e.g., data mining, machine learning and/or deep learning models)
Preferred
PhD preferred
Experience with algorithm and model development for time-series or physiologic signals (e.g. classification and/or prediction models)
Knowledge of statistics
Knowledge of human physiology
