Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight for pharmacy services, caregivers, and operational workflows
Support staff development, education, well-being, and succession planning
Represent the ministry or region on system, regional, and local committees
Collaborate with executive, clinical, and operational leaders
Oversee medication formulary management and order-set standardization
Advance clinical pharmacy initiatives and multidisciplinary team collaboration
Promote medication safety through surveillance, education, and continuous improvement
Reduce clinical variation and enhance evidence-based medication use
Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and legal requirements
Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC), maintaining pharmacy and personnel compliance
Implement new pharmacy technologies and operational processes
Optimize purchasing, inventory management, and cost-effective medication use
Coordinate onboarding and continuing education for pharmacy and non-pharmacy staff
Assist with budgeting, productivity, and financial performance
Support investigational drug services
Align pharmacy operations with system and regional strategic goals
Reports directly to Regional Pharmacy Leadership (Senior Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacy Service Area Director, or Regional Executive Director)
May indirectly report to executive administration at the ministry level
Oversees frontline caregivers and/or department leadership extenders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy
Oregon Pharmacist License (required upon hire)
2 years of pharmacy experience in an applicable practice area
Preferred
PharmD degree
1 year of pharmacy management or leadership experience
