Responsibilities
Work with an integrated product team to implement and validate ASICs in service of Quantinuum’s quantum computer roadmap and goals
Develop electrical interfaces and test equipment to interface with cryogenic test chambers
Develop scripts to automate the operation of test equipment & analysis of data
Manage operation & test execution of cryogenic testing in labs
Translate quantum computer requirements and customer needs into a verifiable test plans to execute in our labs
Work in an R&D and rapid prototyping environment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree Minimum
4+ years of experience in an engineering or R&D environment
3+ years developing test equipment and executing test plans to validate & characterize digital and analog circuits in a lab environment
2+ years of experience working with cryogenic test chambers
Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status
Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen
Preferred
Master's/PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
5+ years of industry experience in an engineering or R&D environment
Hands-on experience testing low-noise analog electronics
Understanding of EMI/EMC and grounding/return currents' impact on sensitive electronics
Experience with ASIC development and testing
Strong background with Python
Experience with the electrical engineering challenges of Quantum Computers or ion-traps
Strong communication skills and “right size” design documentation
