Development Coordinator

Responsibilities

Oversee the strategic development, design, and implementation of the annual fund solicitation program
Direct mail fundraising, including, drafting solicitation content, and vendor and design management
Create campaigns for special giving days
Write, edit, and maintain sections of IAH website
Design development related content for IAH e-news and manage e-news software lists for development
Develop a calendar for the annual fund solicitation process
Evaluate the program and survey constituencies
Establish new ways of engaging and growing the number of donors
Monitor monthly progress of annual fund results compared to prior months/years/goals
Oversee ROI of fundraising methods
Draft fundraising plans
Input, update and manipulate donor data
Update and maintain gift records
Establish routine for producing and interpreting standard and custom reports
Manage all gift processing, donor acknowledgment and stewardship
Coordinate the College’s Annual Report process
Attend UNC donor database training to serve as an expert for the IAH
Schedule development meetings, travel arrangement and execute off-site development event
Coordinate the design, organization, compiling, editing, and distribution of all advisory board meeting materials
Draft advisory board content
Support the Event Planner with event logistics for on-site development and Advisory Board events
Correspond with donors regarding event information and invitations
Develop a thorough understanding of IAH’s mission and programmatic efforts
Maintain overall development operations annual calendar
Maintain and document all development, donor, and data processes in the IAH development manual
Manage the Director of Development’s calendar
Process and track all development related expense
Provide primary phone and email communication
Take notes/minutes at all development related activities and meetings
Maintain inventory and purchase development materials and supplies
Safekeep confidential information
Perform other duties as requested

Required

Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions
Ability to move up to 40 lbs

Preferred

Prior experience in fundraising in a higher education or non-profit setting
Preferred knowledge of fundraising databases (i.e. Blackbaud, Raiser's Edge)
Strong analytical, creative, and strategic thinking skills
