Responsibilities
Participate in the design, implementation and maintenance of the build/release infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
Provide guidance and apply DevOps/DevSecOps practices to streamline product delivery and reliable operations of products
Collaborate with Architects and Operations on designing pipelines using on-prem and cloud technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, EKS, serverless and/or other technologies
Suggest architecture improvements, recommending process improvements
DevSecOps platform troubleshooting and problem-solving with cross-functional team, across platforms and application domains
Automate the world (software builds, quality assurance tests, monitoring, security scans, deployments, etc.)
Review and continuously improve existing processes
Participate in on-call rotation
Understanding DevOps best practices
Qualification
Required
prior experience as a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer
hands-on experience with creation and management of CI/CD pipelines at an enterprise scale using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions
experience working with Release Management processes and software build/deployment tools (e.g. Maven, NPM, GitHub Actions, Quickbuild, Jenkins, JBoss, IIS, etc.)
experience with container orchestration (Helm, Kubernetes, Docker, Mesos, etc.)
experience with scripting languages. Intimate knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, and Groovy are highly valued, as well as a general knowledge of Batch and higher languages, such as C# and Java
experience with integrating applications via API calls and troubleshooting integration points
experience with Source Control Managers and their technologies, such as Git and GitHub, Azure DevOps, and TFVC, along with an awareness of others like GitLab, Bitbucket, etc
experience with software development tools (e.g. Eclipse, Visual Studio, etc.)
experience with database queries, scripts, and tools (e.g. DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
working knowledge of Windows IIS and Red Hat Linux JBoss server environments and software development
effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal customers
detail-oriented, problem solving and organizational skills
motivated, creative, hands-on, and focused individual with ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
experience with multiple roles (Developer, Tester, Architect, Security Analyst, Infrastructure Administration) for a well-rounded perspective of a DevOps centric focus
experience with configuration manager (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc.)
experience with monitoring (Splunk, Nagios, Dynatrace, Prometheus, etc.)
experience with universal binary repository manager (JFrog Artifactory, Sonatype Nexus, etc.)
experience with integrated/automated unit testing (JUnit, NUnit)
familiarity with software security best practices
