Responsibilities
Take over 15-20 clients for monthly bookkeeping and close
Process AR/AP, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures
Communicate directly with clients on routine bookkeeping matters
Support team during busy close periods (25-30 hours during peak weeks)
Join client calls to build relationships and learn advisory approach
Identify client needs and opportunities for expanded services
Support pricing initiatives and service expansion
Provide backup for account managers
Own full relationships for 10-15 clients (not just execution)
Lead client conversations about financial results
Support fee increase conversations and service expansion
Contribute to revenue growth through upsells and retention
Qualification
Required
3-5+ years accounting or bookkeeping experience (not entry-level)
Public accounting or multi-client experience REQUIRED (public accounting firm, bookkeeping firm, or similar multi-client environment—industry/corporate only experience is not a fit)
QuickBooks Online proficiency
Strong client communication skills (email, phone, video)
Self-directed, reliable, excellent time management
Available during core hours (9am-4pm ET) for client interaction
Genuinely seeking part-time work long-term
Preferred
Gusto payroll platform experience
Double (Keeper) practice management software
Experience with service businesses, real estate, or medical practices
Sales tax compliance experience
Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
