Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures (JSOX)
Assist Project Managers in preparing project-related documentation, such as reporting
Monitor project budgets and track expenses, flagging any potential discrepancies or overruns to the Project Manager
Monthly review and forecasting of projects and other short cycle orders
Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements
Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes
Develop strategies to reduce costs and study product pricing to ensure optimal profitability
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
Knowledge of GAAP and relevant accounting regulations
Bachelor of Science Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience in project accounting role in a manufacturing environment
2+ Years' experience in Project Accounting, Cost Accounting, Analyzing and or similar role
Preferred
Complete working knowledge of SAP (preferred) or other MRP software
