Vice President – Business Development of Turbine Field Services

Responsibilities

Develop, manage, and track pipeline of future turbine field service projects
Maintain live list of opportunities, projects, and follow ups
Respond to customer requests, sometimes after hours
Provide estimates of turbine field projects, including duration, description, and cost
Perform handoff to execution team and assigned engineers with project details and expectations
Track project opportunities, follow up with customers, obtain purchase orders
Acknowledge purchase orders and counter T&Cs as needed
Terms and Conditions review and negotiation of key aspects
Complete and update vendor and safety registrations
Exhibit at turbine technical conferences
Manage marketing for clients and recruiting
Opportunities/Leads – Develop and track opportunities/leads
Estimates – Create and issue estimates
POs – Receive and process POs, Negotiate T&Cs
Job Assignment Details – Communicate and confirm assignment details
Ownership/Responsiveness – When a client reaches out to us during off-hours with an emergency, we drop what we are doing and respond
Progressing Estimates to Orders to Assignments: Nudging Opportunities/Leads along until they become estimates. Nudging Estimates along until they become POs. Define and Communicate assignment details to engineers
Detail Oriented: Be aware of the status of EVERY estimate, EVERY PO, and EVERY project we have going on. Be able to look up any aspect and methodically file away information for future reference or follow up
Perform short-term on-site project support and Backup to ITC President, as needed
Travel and meet with customers, (< 10% travel)
Support business growth initiatives

Required

Experience with Terms and Conditions, Finance, Proposal Generation (RFP response), and Contracts
Reliable, High-Energy self-starter
Experience with the Power Generation industry
MUST HAVE CURRENT LEGAL AUTHORIZATION TO WORK IN USA (US Citizen)

Preferred

5+ years' experience as Turbine Generator Field Engineer / Turbine Service Manager / Turbine Generator Sales Manager
OEM training and experience with GE, Siemens, Alstom, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, or other OEM turbine generators
Good professional network (both technical and clients)
Other specialty skills – MHC / EHC Controls, Vibration, Generator, Internal Alignment, Root Cause Analysis, Steam Path Audit, etc
