Commercial Construction Project Manager

Langford & Low Construction is a Maine-based construction company serving various clients throughout New England. They are seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead all phases of construction projects, manage project schedules and budgets, and ensure compliance with contract documents and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Lead all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through close-out
Pursue new project opportunities with existing and new clients
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, logistics plans, and work plans
Maintain strong client and subcontractor relations
Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work for completeness and constructability
Ensure compliance with contract documents, building codes, and regulatory requirements
Review and approve change orders, pay applications, and cost reports
Lead, mentor, and support Project Engineers and field staff
Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors
Facilitate project meetings, including owner meetings, coordination meetings, and progress reviews
Monitor project progress and proactively address schedule risks and constraints
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies
Resolve project issues, conflicts, and disputes in a timely and professional manner
Ensure adherence to company quality control standards and project specifications
Promote and enforce jobsite safety programs and OSHA compliance
Conduct regular site visits to monitor quality, safety, and progress
Serve as the primary point of contact for owners and key stakeholders
Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high levels of client satisfaction
Provide clear, accurate, and timely project reporting and communication
Ensure completion of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, and final financial reconciliation

Required

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
5+ years of construction project management experience
Proven experience managing large-scale or multiple concurrent construction projects
Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, contracts, and scheduling
Proficiency with project management software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
Ability to commute to Portland, ME and travel to job sites Monday through Friday
