Responsibilities
Own and resolve high-severity, complex technical issues on ServiceNow
Act as the first and last escalation point within Technical Support
Mentor and guide junior engineers
Troubleshoot issues across the full web application stack
Communicate clearly with customers during high-pressure situations
Work outside standard business hours when needed (evenings/weekends/holidays)
Work in-office twice a week (currently Wed/Thu – subject to change)
Qualification
Required
Strong knowledge of databases (relational DBs like MySQL or Oracle)
Experience with Object-Oriented programming
Java preferred
JavaScript also highly relevant
Proven ability to troubleshoot difficult technical issues
Understanding of a web application stack (frontend, backend, DB, infra)
Experience with Linux/Unix OR Windows Server administration
Hands-on experience with scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, Perl, Shell (Unix/Windows)
Customer-facing support experience (or ability to handle customers professionally)
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to stay calm and professional during high-severity incidents
Strong team player with a quality-first, customer-focused mindset
Preferred
ServiceNow platform experience
Linux (if they already have Windows Server, or vice versa)
ITSM / ITIL / CMDB concepts
Advanced database tuning or performance diagnostics
Remote administration tools: SSH, SNMP, WMI, PowerShell
Deep JavaScript expertise
Performance degradation/root-cause analysis
