Responsibilities
Launch Alpha's flagship Houston campus: Execute Alpha's three core commitments for 100 plus students starting day one, ensuring operational excellence in every area
Facilitate live life skills workshops with K through 12 students: Lead one-hour sessions covering public speaking, growth mindset, and feedback delivery and reception. Apply Alpha's curriculum to help students gain competencies traditional schools overlook, all while keeping sessions engaging and enjoyable
Drive every student to 100 percent goal completion: Create personalized motivational strategies for each learner. Apply data-informed methods to address disengagement and sustain platform interaction. Your success is measured by universal student goal achievement
Develop Guides through structured coaching: Leverage quantitative and qualitative metrics to pinpoint skill gaps. Provide direct, practical guidance in coaching meetings and monitor progress. Maintain accountability through objective performance standards, not empathy that weakens expectations
Execute data-driven leadership across campus operations: Evaluate performance in staffing, operations, family engagement, and school culture. Identify issues, perform root cause assessments, engage stakeholders, and implement trackable solutions. Monitor outcomes and refine strategies continuously
Uphold uncompromising standards for excellence: Establish and sustain Alpha's quality benchmarks for both students and team members. Make difficult decisions when outcomes do not meet expectations. Model the standards you expect across the campus
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related field
At least 7 years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, business, or related field
Direct experience building and managing teams of at least 15 people with full hiring and firing authority
Deep knowledge of the Houston or wider Texas education landscape
Experience working with youth ages 5 through 14
Strong data analysis skills and experience using metrics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement
Passion for transforming education
Startup mindset: thrives under pressure, adaptable in new situations, comfortable building systems from scratch
Compelling and energetic speaker who commands attention from rooms full of students or staff
Able to relate to K through 12 students, understand their interests and culture, serve as a positive role model
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related field
