Responsibilities
Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules for development initiatives
Oversee project milestones from feasibility through construction turnover and support construction and project closeout
Ensure alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder expectations
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle
Lead project meetings and facilitate decision-making processes
Manage entitlement processes, including zoning, permitting, and environmental approvals
Liaise with local agencies and jurisdictions to ensure compliance with regulations
Track and report on permitting timelines and requirements
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
Monitor project performance and prepare regular status reports for leadership
Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate Development, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience (4+ years)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in development project management
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Procore)
Proven experience managing complex, multi-phase development projects
Familiarity with entitlement, permitting, and construction processes
Demonstrated expertise in managing development projects from concept to completion
Strong understanding of real estate, construction, and regulatory processes
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
Knowledge of financial modeling and budgeting for development projects
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners
Preferred
PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred
Real estate development certification is a plus
