Responsibilities

Develop and iterate on product value articulation aligned to defined ICPs and market strategy that connects with enterprise and national security audiences, including champions, economic buyers, implementation partners, and internal audiences
Define and deliver the product story within the broader Mattermost narrative, in partnership with Marketing. You’ll take complex technical themes such as ABAC, E2E encryption, or identity management, and turn them into compelling, high-stakes narratives for the world’s most mission-critical buyers
Own the creation of high quality demo videos, roadmap announcements, technical data sheets, use case specific-messaging and positioning, presentations, and press release content - in close partnership with Marketing, which owns final external publication - that empower sales and channel partners in effectively selling our product suite
Conduct market research and gather competitive intelligence to inform product strategy and positioning
Create and deliver sales enablement materials, including playbooks, battle cards, customer case studies, and product presentations, including articulating our pricing, packaging, and true-up models such that sales and channel partners can move at high velocity
Spend 30% of your time in the field, leading high-impact demos at customer sites and representing Mattermost at key industry events. You are the face of the product, capturing the customer intelligence that will directly shape our future roadmap. Partner closely with Marketing and Revenue teams to ensure field insights are shared and incorporated into broader GTM strategy
Work with high autonomy that leverages an AI-first workflow to prototype, draft, and iterate on new assets

Required

5+ years in Product Management, Technical Product Marketing, or Sales Engineering, preferably in high-growth Cybersecurity, GovTech, or Enterprise SaaS
Exceptional ability to present and write about complex technical topics. You must be able to explain not just what a feature is, but why it wins in a competitive landscape, and why should the market care
Deep understanding of government and enterprise software sales motions, including pricing strategies, packaging, and the mechanics of channel enablement
Fluency with the developer/DevOps ecosystem, security protocols (e.g. ABAC, encryption), and the ability to work alongside engineering to 'productize' demo environments in partnership with Marketing
A proven track record of independently shipping high-quality sales enablement collateral and product announcements
Professional cybersecurity credentials such as CISSP are highly valued and considered an asset for this role
This role may require the candidate to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance in the future. As such, applicants must be U.S. citizens and eligible to obtain a U.S. government security clearance
Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for access to export-controlled information as defined by U.S. export control laws, including EAR and ITAR
