Responsibilities
Market creation & pricing– Develop and maintain odds for F1 races, championships and prop markets. Use statistical models and market intelligence to set pre-race lines and manage live prices during races in response to realtime events. Ensure F1 futures markets are maintained throughout the season lifecycle
Data integration & quality – Work with engineers to ingest and validate official F1 feeds. Define and enforce data-quality checks, latency tolerances, and incident handling processes to ensure reliable in-play pricing under race conditions
Product development – Collaborate with product and quant teams to ideate and launch new markets that resonate with F1 and Motor Sports fans. Own the trading feedback loop to trading tools and analytics that enhance accuracy and efficiency
Stakeholder engagement – Serve as the subject matter expert for F1 trading. Liaise with sportsbook clients to understand their needs and ensure our product meets their expectations
Reporting & optimization – Analyze trading performance, identify areas for improvement and implement changes to drive margin and handle growth. Own post-race and post-launch reviews, including incident analysis and corrective actions
Team building – Initially operate as a hands-on lead; with full trading ownership. Over time, recruit and mentor junior traders or analysts to reduce key-person risk and support scale as the motorsports vertical grows
Qualification
Required
Proven sports trading track record – Minimum 2 years' experience owning a sport from a trading angle; demonstrable P&L responsibility
Motorsports expertise – Deep knowledge of F1 teams, drivers, circuits and race strategy including incident dynamics (SC/VSC, weather, retirements). Ability to translate sporting insight into market prices
Quantitative & technical fluency – Comfortable working with trading models and large datasets, with the ability to own the feedback loop with quants on model assumptions, outputs, and performance improvements
Live trading acumen– Experience running in-play markets under time pressure; fast, defensible decision-making with incomplete or noisy information
Ownership & accountability – Evidence of end-to-end product delivery, from concept through to post-launch optimization, with accountability for outcomes, not just inputs
Communication & collaboration – Clear communicator who can interface with product, tech and operator clients to translate requirements into decisive trading actions
