The Plant Engineer co-op/intern will complete multiple projects that focus on improving plant reliability and process safety, while serving as a technical resource for repairs and installations of plant equipment.

Responsibilities
Serves as a technical resource and project lead for repairs and installation of plant equipment, including piping systems, valves, pumps, compressors, and turbines
Manages projects to completion, working with multidisciplinary teams, gathering technical information, performing engineering calculations, and presenting project results and recommendations
Develops, reviews & updates site maintenance and mechanical integrity procedures to improve plant reliability and process safety
Conducts mechanical failure analyses & reports on findings to avoid recurrence
Assists Plant Engineers with day-to-day tasks
Qualification
Required
Must be a current college student enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering program at an ABET‑accredited institution
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to make verbal and written presentations to communicate ideas effectively
Expected to effectively communicate with outside vendors and contractors
Become knowledgeable in the plant processes, plant specifications, and materials of construction
Commitment to fulfil a summer internship or 7-8 month co-op assignment
Preferred
Previous co-op or intern experience is preferred
