Payroll & Benefits Specialist

This high-impact HR role involves managing payroll and benefits processes for approximately 500 employees, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing a seamless employee experience.

Responsibilities
Building payroll and benefits processes
Managing multi-entity payroll for approximately 500 employees
Serving as a subject matter expert across payroll, benefits, and leave administration
Ensuring accurate payroll processing, compliant benefits and tax administration, and seamless employee experience
Administering a wide range of leaves of absence, including FMLA, short-term and long-term disability, workers’ compensation, and military leave
Staying compliant with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
Qualification
Required
3+ years of payroll experience processing bi-weekly payroll for 200+ employees
Hands-on experience with Paycom payroll processing
3+ years of benefits administration experience, including open enrollment and qualifying life events
Strong knowledge of payroll and benefits compliance (ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, Workers' Compensation, DOL requirements)
Experience supporting audits (financial, payroll, workers' compensation)
Experience managing leave programs and coordinating with state and private insurance providers
Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred
CPP, CEBS, or similar certification a plus
