Responsibilities

Architect, build, and maintain scalable & reliable data platforms
Develop and optimize analytic query engines (Trino, Redshift, BigQuery)
Design and support Apache Iceberg–based data management solutions
Collaborate with Data Engineering & Analytics teams for seamless integration
Implement observability frameworks to monitor pipelines & performance
Apply best practices for: Data modeling, Schema design & evolution, Pipeline fan-out strategies
Ensure data integrity across: Medallion architectures, Star schemas, Lakehouse environments
Proactively improve scalability, efficiency, and reliability

Required

3+ years in Data Platform Engineering or related infrastructure roles
Strong hands-on experience with: Trino (Presto), Redshift, BigQuery, Apache Iceberg
Expertise in Medallion architecture, star schemas & schema evolution
Experience with observability, automated schema detection & performance tuning
Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
Strong Python skills
Experience with modern infrastructure automation tools
Excellent problem-solving skills in complex, high-scale data environments
Strong communication skills (technical & non-technical)
Comfortable working independently and in fast-paced teams

Preferred

Experience building highly observable & scalable data platforms
Advanced expertise in query optimization & database scaling
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools: Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CDK
Ability to align platform engineering with business strategy
