Responsibilities
Infrastructure Building: Analyze, design, and implement the creation of a new AWS environment based upon an existing AWS cloud infrastructure using CloudFormation or CDK, ensuring compliance with operational standards
Environment Management: Maintain and optimize existing cloud environments, ensuring availability, performance, and security
Collaboration: Work closely with support, development, security, and compliance teams to ensure that infrastructure meets both operational and regulatory requirements
Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring solutions and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and performance, troubleshooting issues as they arise
Automation: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments, monitoring, and scaling of cloud resources
Scripting and Development: Write and maintain scripts and applications in Python and Node.js to automate processes and enhance cloud operations
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience in cloud operations, specifically with AWS
Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, specifically AWS CloudFormation and/or CDK
Strong understanding of AWS services, security best practices, and compliance frameworks
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline)
Proficiency in Python and Node.js for scripting and application development
Knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and additional scripting languages is a plus
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of engineering or technical experience
3+ years of experience in Python or Node.js
3+ years of experience in cloud operations with AWS
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK Stack)
