The Simulation Test Engineer will focus on the Validation and Verification of autonomous vehicle software by creating synthetic driving simulations and collaborating with various engineering teams to ensure comprehensive testing scenarios.

Responsibilities
Create synthetic simulations from requirements and inputs from Systems, Safety, and Autonomous Software engineering teams
Add and configure custom observers to evaluate simulation pass/fail criteria
Operate Applied Intuition Sim software and other simulation tools
Follow established procedures and techniques to maintain high-quality simulation standards
Report the results of completed simulations back to the requester, summarizing key findings and outcomes
Troubleshoot errors or other issues with simulation execution
Collaborate with systems, safety, testing, and autonomy engineering teams to ensure simulation coverage of common and rare driving scenarios and ODD elements
Support identification of system safety limits and functional insufficiencies
Qualification
Required
Understanding of autonomous driving technology
Demonstrated experience with autonomous vehicle simulation platforms
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues in simulation creation
Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical teams
Comfortable continuously learning new software and workflows
Preferred
Experience using Linux, command-line interface, git or any source control
