Adjunct Lecturer, AI User Interfaces for Analytics (Fall '26, On-Campus)
Columbia University School of Professional Studies is seeking a part-time Lecturer to teach a graduate-level course in AI User Interfaces for Analytics. The role involves delivering lectures on UX design principles and developing user interfaces, while guiding students through hands-on experiences with web development technologies and AI integration.

Responsibilities
Lead class lectures, instructional activities, and classroom discussion. Attend all class sessions (classes generally meet once per week for up to 2 hours)
Monitor and address student concerns and inquiries
Evaluate, grade student work and assessments
Conduct office hours
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
Proficiency in HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and Python
Good understanding of UX design and data visualization principles
Proven industry experience in UX/UI and web development
Preferred
10+ years of related professional experience
2+ years of University teaching experience, ideally at the graduate level
2+ years of experience with cloud services on AWS, GCP, or Azure
Any experience applying generative AI models for visualization
