This role will own the lease accounting function across a multi-property portfolio, ensuring accurate lease setup, compliance with accounting standards, and strong coordination between Accounting, Operations, Property Management, and external partners.

Responsibilities
Lease Setup & Maintenance- Review executed lease agreements, amendments, renewals, and terminations
Abstract critical lease terms including base rent, escalations, CAM, taxes, insurance, reimbursements, free rent, TI, LCs, and options
Set up and maintain leases accurately in the property management and accounting system (e.g., Yardi)
Maintain lease data integrity throughout the lease lifecycle
Lease Accounting & Compliance
Ensure proper accounting treatment in accordance with applicable accounting standards
Ongoing rent roll and billing reviews to ensure alignment with lease terms
Review outstanding tenant balances with follow up regarding payment
Coordinate recognition of any straight-line rent, deferred rent, lease incentives, and tenant reimbursements
Partner with Property Accounting on monthly close impacts related to leases
Support audit requests and lease-related schedules
CAM & Recoveries Support
Act as a liaison between Accounting, Operations, Asset Management, and third-party property managers
Support acquisitions, dispositions, and financing activity by reviewing lease data and preparing lease schedules
Assist with lease-related due diligence and data requests
Qualification
Required
Experience in a private equity, institutional, or multi-entity real estate environment
CAM reconciliation experience
Exposure to acquisitions, dispositions, or portfolio-level reporting
