Product Manager – MEP / Modular Power POD Product Line

The Product Manager will own the end-to-end delivery of new Modular Power POD products and major releases, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities
Take ownership of the approved master plan for Modular Power POD products and variants
Translate product intent into executable delivery plans across engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Controls), industrialization, quality and supply chain
Establish and run appropriate governance, reviews and escalation paths for the product line
Drive day-to-day execution to ensure key milestones are met from design freeze through certification, industrialization and launch
Track progress against scope, schedule and budget; manage critical paths and dependencies. (e.g. transformer supply, RMU/UPS integration, HVAC/chiller integration)
Identify delivery risks early and coordinate mitigations across teams and suppliers
Escalate major deviations and trade‑off decisions with clear impact analysis and mitigation options
Ensure agreed product scope, features and performance targets are delivered as defined by Product
Manage change requests: evaluate impact on timing, cost and risk; make recommendations; document and communicate informed decisions
Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Compliance and Sustainability teams to ensure prototypes and final PODs meet performance, safety, environmental and code requirements
Own the project budget and NRE envelope for Power POD development
Monitor engineering effort, external design services, lab/testing, FAT/SAT costs, tooling and certification; report actuals vs budget regularly and propose corrective actions where needed
Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Certification and Service teams
Ensure clear interfaces between the Power POD and other product lines (immersion tanks, DLC, racks)
Provide clear, concise project status reports to leadership on milestones, risks/issues, budget status, upcoming decisions
Prepare and lead product line delivery reviews and decision forums
Communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders on project status and constraints
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services/MEP Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar
7+ years in project or program management for complex MEP, datacenter, or industrial power/cooling hardware development projects
Proven track record delivering multi‑disciplinary engineering projects (mechanical + electrical + controls) on time and on budget
Experience working with industrialization/manufacturing and supply chain on prefabricated or containerized solutions (plants, power modules, cooling containers, micro‑DCs)
Strong project management, delivery and planning skills, with solid understanding of cost, risk and dependencies
Sufficient MEP technical literacy to challenge and align engineering teams and engage credibly with stakeholders
Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level reporting
Comfortable with project tools and methods (e.g. Jira, MS Project, Confluence, PLM tools)
Strong ownership mindset for the Modular Power POD product line
Calm and reliable under pressure in complex, fast-moving environments
Pragmatic, solutions-oriented and action-biased
Comfortable working with distributed, international teams and partners
