Responsibilities
Facilitating one-hour life skills sessions with K-2 students, coaching them and reinforcing the reading instruction delivered by Reading Specialists
Inspiring students to progress through adaptive learning applications and meet their weekly academic targets
Guiding emotional regulation, resilience, and problem-solving through consistent routines and supportive engagement
Monitoring student development and emerging needs, identifying concerns proactively, and modifying approaches in partnership with your team
Building a classroom environment that balances structure, playfulness, and individualized attention
Qualification
Required
Availability to work full-time and on-site at our campus in Chicago, IL; Miami, FL; Palo Alto, CA; San Francisco, CA; or Santa Monica, CA
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in any discipline
3+ years of hands-on experience with children ages 4–8 in educational settings, afterschool programs, coaching roles, or comparable contexts
Strong storytelling ability and dynamic presentation skills: capable of capturing and sustaining the focus of young children in group settings
Capacity to maintain high expectations for both yourself and your students, and to motivate children toward goal achievement
Growth mindset and receptiveness to coaching
Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship
